M-Three Satcom in collaboration with Insis, Alfacam and Heliwest, is performing for Rai the aerial and moving shootings for the 96th edition of the Tour of Italy, one of the most important and popular sport events in the country, with a strong involvement and participation all around the world.

The high-definition images of the Giro, stage by stage, are produced through a sophisticated system that combines shooting and broadcasting live from bikes, planes and helicopters with gyro-stabilized cameras. Thanks to an agreement between Rai and RCS Sport, Rai guarantees the coverage of the event in HD until 2016.

The Rai production is distributed on all continents and in various TV platforms in more than 165 countries, ensuring the vision to 775 million viewers, with over 325 hours of live TV.

The Giro d'Italia 2013 consists of 21 stages, from May 4th to 26th, in all 3,405.3 kilometers, with an average of 164.5 km per stage, through some of the most fascinating views of Italy. The Corsa Rosa started in Naples and will arrive in Brescia.
